Vista – it’s not XP.
Some things may be better, or so I hear, but I’ve also heard a lot of complaints.
But that’s not surprising. Vista was a major rewrite – a lot from the ground up, if my sources know what they’re talking about. (And they do.) So a lot of the code that had been refined was replaced by code that wasn’t thoroughly tested in real life over years by millions of users. And now that Vista has millions of users testing the code in real life over years, the really subtle bugs are emerging, along with some others that, well, really shouldn’t be there.
So, what can you do to improve your machine? How about some tweaks? No, not asking you to roll up your sleeves and do some C++ coding (or whatever the basic language was that was used to create Vista), but to get in to the settings and make some simple and reasonable, or maybe some less simple but still reasonable, changes.
What? Don’t know what to do? Well, this site should help you with your Vista tweaks.
