An excellent article by The Washington Post’s Jonathan Yardley on writing, writing style, and what to do about it. I don’t remember when I bought my first Strunk, but I’ve had several, “loosing” them to people who needed them. Sometimes desperately needing them.
Not that I always follow them. I’m a bit too much of a non-traditionalist, anarchist even, than that, but when the writing matters, it pays to have the write stuff.
